Create a shortcut on your windows Desktop PC to your Exiftool application. Right click and select properties and look at the properties of the shortcut you created to your exiftool.exe application and edit as follows:

"C:\pathtoexiftool\exiftool.exe" -a -u -k -s -g1 -w txt

-a (-duplicates) Allow duplicate tag names in output
-u (-unknown) Extract unknown tags
-k (-pause) Pause before terminating
-s (-short) Short output format
-g[NUM...] (-groupHeadings) Organize output by tag group
-w EXT (-textOut) Write output text files

The output file will have the original file name(not including file extension), with an extension of .txt.

Example: I drag file named 12345678.jpg onto the shortcut. Exiftool outputs a file named 12345678.txt which includes all the metadata extracted from the 12345678.jpg file.

A copy of the tag descriptions within the help file (documentation).
