I recently bought this lens to test out. The images were "ok". There was a fair amount of barrel distortion. I did get some lens flare indoors due to a bright light, which was extremely odd (unexpected). My biggest complaint is that I could swear that the whole front assembly was going to wobble out of the lens body. Can anything that "moves" that much be accurate? I am simply amazed that I got images as good as I did with the lens.

I suppose 24-50mm is a useful range (that is why I decided to test it out). I just never took it out for serious work, perhaps I am just to picky, but I would like a fair amount of build quality to entertain using a lens for any amount of time. I was able to garner some usable images from it, images were sharp, with good contrast on a D3. Although Vignetting with a CP was fairly prominent even up to 45mm @ f/8, which can be corrected in post.
